준비하다, 무엇을?
prepare와 prepare for의 차이점이 궁금하여 정리해 본다.
prepare
네이버 사전을 찾아 볼 때는 for에 대한 추가 설명을 찾아볼 수 없어 인터넷을 조사해 봤다.
prepare -> 무엇을 준비하다
prepare for -> 무엇을 하기까지 전의 과정을 준비하다, 대비하다
위와 같이 정리 할 수 있다.
Every morning my first job is to prepare the breakfast.
위 문장은 '아침식사'를 준비하는 것이다. 즉 비슷한 단어로는 cook이 있겠다.
I parepare for the breakfast.
위 문장은 아침식사하기 까지 과정을 준비했다라고 생각 하면 된다. 장을 봤을 수 도 있고 그릇을 셋팅할 수 도 있고 요리하기 전 상태의 상황을 준비한 것이다.
